NDP Federal Convention 2009 in Halifax

As Canadians, new and old, we’re proud of our country. We’re proud of the way we treat each other, our open-heartedness, our generosity of spirit, the way we help each other out when disaster strikes. Nobody has to tell a Canadian during a flood, Hey..., can you help fill sandbags? Or in winter: Can you help shovel a sick neighbour’s walk. People just step up. I’ve seen it all across this country and so have you!

Today, HFX09 ended with a bang. Jack Layton’s keynote address to the convention shared our New Democrat vision for Canada. It’s time for an end to the old thinking. It’s time for new thinking. I hope you’ll be a part of it.
