Laurie Blakeman has served two terms as the MLA for Edmonton-Centre. She has lived in the Rossdale area of the constituency since 1986. Laurie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta and is very active in the local arts community.
Before entering public life, Laurie worked as the Executive Director of Alberta’s Advisory Council on Women’s Issues and General Manager of the Phoenix Theatre and Theatre Network.
