Dear Children,
In matters of style, swim with the current;
in matters of principle, stand like a rock.
Kindness in words creates confidence.
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness.
Kindness in giving creates love.
We often underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.
Kindness is the language which the deaf can hear and the blind can see.
This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy; Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.
Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you - not because they are nice, but because you are.
