Alberta Goes to the Polls Today, March 3, 2008

Polls open across the province at 9 a.m on Monday and close at 8 p.m.
More than two million Albertans are eligible to cast a ballot Monday in the provincial election as the ruling Progressive Conservatives seek an 11th consecutive majority government, campaigning on a slogan of change.
"People want change. They have to vote for that change," said Mason. "We need more NDP MLAs to stand up for ordinary Albertans."
"Change is important, but we want a positive change and we haven't seen that change," Wildrose Alliance Leader Paul Hinman said on Feb. 21.
"If they want to make a change they can vote Liberal, and what we're hearing more and more is that people want a change," said Taft.

Good Morning
The heart that gives—gathers!
Dear All,
Love cures people, both the ones who give it and the ones who receive it. Love is the greatest refreshment in life. The giving of Love is an education in itself.
There are words which sever hearts more than sharp swords; there are words the point of which sting the heart through the course of a whole life. Feelings are everywhere -- let us be gentle. If we judge people, we have no time to love them.
The best and most beautiful things in this world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. When we reach the heart of life, we shall find beauty in all things.
The heart that gives—gathers. A day without laughter is a day wasted. 7 days without a laugh makes one heart weak.
There is much satisfaction in work well done, but there can be no happiness equal to the joy of finding a heart that understands.
If we create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing. A merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. The heart sees better than the eye.
The human heart, at whatever age, opens only to the heart that opens in return. In your heart, keep one still, secret spot where dreams may go and sheltered so may thrive and grow.
If a man be gracious to strangers, it shows that he is a citizen of the world, and his heart is no island, cut off from other islands, but a continent that joins them.
A heart in love with beauty never grows old. Our heart often knows things before our mind does. The happiest people don't necessarily have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.
With Love, Amma-Naana

Talking Dog For Sale - My Friend Mr. Jim's Yet Another Short Story
A guy is driving around and he sees a sign in front of a bus driver’s house:
Talking Dog For Sale
The guy goes to the door, rings the bell, and the bus driver tells him the dog is in the backyard. The guy goes into the backyard and sees a Lab/Shepherd cross sitting there.
"You talk?" he asks the dog.
"Yes, I do," the dog replies.
Taken aback the guy asks, "So, what's your story?"
The dog looks up and says, "Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government so I told CSIS about my gift and in no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders. I'd pretend to nap at their feet but I was really very alert. No one figured a dog would be eavesdropping. I was one of CSIS's most valuable spies for eight or nine years.
But the jetting around really tired me out. I knew I wasn't getting any younger so I decided to settle down. I signed up for a job at the airport to do some undercover security. Again I'd just wander near suspicious characters and listening in on their conversations.
I uncovered some incredible dealings, apprehended dozens of drug dealers, foiled several terrorist attacks, and rescued five or six kidnapped children. I was awarded a batch of medals. Later on I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I'm just retired and livin' the good life."
The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the bus driver what he wants for the dog.
"Ten dollars," the bus driver says.
"Ten dollars? That dog is amazing", the guy says. "Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?"
"Because he's a huge liar," the bus driver sneers. "He never did any of that stuff."
