The Little Chap Who Follows Me!

A careful man I want to be;
A little fellow follows me.

I do not dare to go astray
For fear he'll go the self same way.

I cannot once escape his eyes,
Whatever he sees me do, he tries.

Like me he says he's going to be;
The little chap who follows me.

He thinks that I'm so very fine,
Believes in every word of mine.

The base in me he must not see;
The little chap who follows me.

I must remember as I go
Through summer's sun and winter's snow,
I'm building for the years to be;
The little chap who follows me.

Have a Happy New Year

May this New Year, all your dreams turn into reality and all your efforts into achievements... May each day of the coming year be vibrant. Have a vivacious 2010 ahead.

1. Let us worry less and relax more.
2. Let’s take better care of our body, not to meet someone else's standards of weight or shape, but strictly in order for us to feel our best.
3. Let’s plant a tree for your great-grandchildren. While literally planting a tree is always a good project, I mean this suggestion symbolically. Let’s consider, in everything we do, how our decisions and actions will impact the legacy we leave for future generations. How can we leave our family, the political system, the environment, the whole world, better than we found it?

Have a happy and safe New Year, and enjoy a wonderful 2010.

We visited Callaway Gardens yesterday with a group of 40 people - relatives and friends.

Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, is a thoughtfully planned and lushly landscaped setting at the foothills of The Appalachians. Callaway Gardens is 60 minutes southwest of Atlanta and is open 365 days a year from 9 am to 5 pm. There is an admission charge. On 14,000 acres, Callaway Gardens consists of many areas for reflection and recreation. A place to make hearts and wings flutter, the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center at Callaway Gardens is a glass-enclosed tropical conservatory for living butterflies that also hostsneo-tropical hummingbirds.

We visited Atlanta Swaminarayan Mandir today

This is a place of paramount peace. It is also a center vibrant with social, cultural, and spiritual activities.

The Mandir was inaugurated in August of 2007 after only 17 months of construction time utilizing 1.3 million volunteer hours. The Mandir is comprised of 3 types of stone - Turkish Limestone, Italian marble, and Indian pink sandstone.
More than 34,000 individual pieces were carved by hand in India, shipped to the USA and assembled in Lilburn like a giant 3-D puzzle

Rosa Parks, American Civil Rights Pioneer

"When he saw me still sitting, he asked if I was going to stand up, and I said, ‘No, I’m not. ‘And he said, Well, if you don’t stand up, I am going to have to call the police and have you arrested. ‘I said, ‘You do that."
~Rosa Parks

New Beginnings

Wishing our friendship continues to grow in the days to come:
Ring out the old, ring in the new.
Ring out the false, ring in the true.

Then sing, young hearts that are full of cheer,
With never a thought of sorrow;

The old goes out, but the glad young year
Comes merrily in tomorrow.
